What is professional air duct cleaning?
Air duct cleaning is the mechanical removal of dust, biofilm and microbial contamination from the ductwork of an HVAC system, followed by sanitization and verified by laboratory tests. A certified intervention runs in five phases: robotic video inspection, containment under negative pressure, mechanical brushing, ozone sanitization and final testing with an official certificate.
Every building that uses air conditioning or mechanical ventilation pushes its air through ducts nobody ever sees. Over the years those ducts collect dust, grease and humidity: a perfect substrate where mould and bacteria — including Legionella — grow and get redistributed into every room, to every person who breathes that air.
What actually builds up inside your ducts
What you see around a dirty vent is only the outlet. Upstream, the duct walls hold layers of fine dust bound with humidity, fibres and organic residue. That layer is a fire load, an energy cost — the system works harder to push air through fouled ducts — and above all a microbiological reservoir that no filter downstream can correct.
